What is the difference between Post ReGen HA and Hydrating HA +B5?
Doux has two hyaluronic based (HA) serums. They are both formulated with low, medium and high molecular HA to help hydrate the skin on multiple layers - from surface to deep.
Post-ReGen HA Formula is ideal for during and post aesthetic treatment. This can be used by practitioners as a gliding serum while performing a microneedling treatment, and can be applied as a post-care topical solution to aid in skin recovery and enhance the aesthetic treatment procedure. Use for 5 days post treatment, and either continue to apply daily, or set aside until your next aesthetic treatment.
Hydrating HA + B5 formula is ideal for all skin types especially dry, dehydrated, fragile, sensitive and skin prone to redness. Apply daily to aid in skin repair and to help protect skin from further aggressors.
Do I need sunscreen?
Sunscreen is an integral part of every skincare routine. While at Doux we currently do not have an SPF product, we do recommend that you apply one daily.
Ideally, use a mineral-based sunscreen with an SPF minimum of 30. Always read and follow the directions.
Do I need an eye cream?
Eye creams can be heavy and potentially lead to additional issues around the eye area, including puffiness and milia.
Doux's collection includes an Eye Treatment Serum. This is lightweight, oil-free and hydrating. It performs well to address the signs of aging around the eye contour area without adding any additional heaviness you may get from an eye cream.
Apply Doux Eye Treatment Serum with a gentle tapping motion, both day and night; apply sparingly.
I need a cleanser. I did not find one on your website.
Doux's skincare line focuses on science-based and innovative topical skincare solutions for all skin types.
While cleansing is an important step in your skincare routine, we currently do not have a cleanser. When choosing a cleanser, consider your skin type and skincare goals. Read the label, and ensure that it will be a good fit for your skin.
Why is your Vitamin C a 15% concentration?
Vitamin C has proven effective at 15% concentration.
Higher concentrations do not show any added benefit and can lead to irritation. Lower concentrations may be suitable, but not as effective.
Doux's 15% Vitamin C + E Age Defying Formula combines a synergy of a vitamin c blend, vitamin E and ferulic acid to ensure product efficacy and performance for outstanding results.
Can I use your Retinol on sensitive skin?
Doux's Renewing Retinol 0.5% Serum may be applied to all skin types including sensitive skin. We recommend you do a test patch first and add it to your routine every other night. Slowly increase to applying every night, OR you may choose to continue with application of every other night. Use as best suited for your skincare needs.
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Is your moisturizer oil- free?
Yes, Doux Moisture - Rich Cream is oil free. Our formula boasts both humectants and emollients to thoroughly hydrate the moisturize the skin keeping your skin supple, soft and protected.
Can I apply Doux Skincare post cosmetic injectable treatments?
Doux skincare was designed with both post-treatment care and daily use in mind.
You may apply Doux skincare post your aesthetic treatment, following the post-care instructions as outlined by your practitioner. Our Post-ReGen HA Formula is the hero when it comes to aesthetic procedures. It offers the skin protection and hydration to aid in skin recovery and help enhance the effects of the procedure.
Do you test your products on animals?
At Doux, we hold a high regard for social responsibility and thus do not conduct nor contract out animal testing.
We use science-based research to ensure safety and efficacy of our product formulations.
How do I store Doux Skincare?
It is best to store your skincare in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct light. We recommend a hall or bedroom closet.
Bathroom storage is not ideal since the humidity and temperature change in that environment is not ideal for storing topical skincare solutions.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Our skincare products carry a 3-year unopened shelf life. After opening, we recommend you use within 12 months. When not in use, store in cool, dry dark place.
Can I use your skincare if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
There are topical skincare solutions that may safe when pregnant or breastfeeding. It is always best to consult with your primary care physician first, before starting a new skincare routine.
At Doux, we list all of our ingredients on our website so that you may discuss this an option with your physician.
As a general rule, products containing retinoids, hydroquinone, and phthalates may not be safe for use. Your physician can help guide you.
Are your products non- comedogenic?
A non-comedogenic product does not clog pores nor lead to blackheads and whiteheads.
Doux skincare is non-comedogenic, that is, it will not clog your pores nor lead to breakout.
Do you add fragrance to your skincare products?
No, we do not add fragrance to our skincare products. Each product may have its own characteristic smell due to the combination of ingredients, none of which is an added fragrance.
My product arrived frozen/ very hot- what do I do?
Our formulas are resilient against deep cold and high heat. They have been thoroughly tested and appropriately formulated to ensure they will withstand changing temperatures.
If your product arrived frozen, keep at room temperature until fully thawed. Shake and use as normal. DO NOT put in microwave.
If your product arrived and is very hot, keep at room temperature. Let it cool to room temperature, shake and use as normal.
How do I apply Doux skincare?
The general steps in applying your skincare is as follows:
1. Cleanse
2. Apply facial and eye serum(s)
3. Apply Moisture Cream
4. Follow with your SPF
NOTE: Retinol-based products are applied at night time only.

Can I use DOUX skincare with other skincare brands?
At Doux, we encourage inclusivity. While it is generally ok to mix and match skincare brands, we recommend that you introduce them slowly to your skin. Ensure that your skin is comfortable with each new addition, then use as your complete routine.
Why do you use Propylene Glycol ?
Propylene Glycol is used in many topical skincare and haircare formulations.
In low concentrations, it is deemed as safe and even beneficial for use in such products. Propylene Glycol acts a preservative, a humectant , and helps enhance the efficay of other skincare ingredients
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) gives propylene glycol a “fair” rating, noting it is not a risk to cancer nor toxicity.
